Our team is looking to add a Dental Assistant who is motivated and excited to work in a fast-paced environment. An individual who has the ability to make patients feel comfortable while also educating them on dental care is something we value. At our office the Dental Assistant will be responsible for setting up and flipping operatories in order to prepare for the upcoming treatment, based on the schedule for the day. They are also a part of keeping up sterilization, exposure of radiographs or CBCT's, chairside assisting with the dentist for a variety of procedures, discussing treatment needs, pre & post op instructions with the patients, accurate documentation of the patients existing dental work as well as work to be done. Hand-off from the clinical team to the admin team with clear communication so the patient is able to be scheduled correctly and finances can be discussed is needed. You may also help with some scheduling of appointments in the back - based on the patients' needs. Greeting the patients and making them feel welcome Perform routine dental cleanings and assist the dentist with complex dental procedures. Process X-rays/CBCT of patients. Sterilization and preparation of operatories. Document and hand-off of treatment plans to treatment coordinator. Schedule patient appointments. Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene and/or treatment needs. Education is important. Wrap up appointments and make sure patients' needs are met prior to the end of their visit. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expertise in chairside assisting and general dentistry. Proficient in dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge. Familiarity and compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Skills in pediatric dentistry, X-ray procedures, and four-handed dentistry. Ability to manage medical documentation and records effectively.
