Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oral care to patients, promoting good dental hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and ensuring that the clinic operates smoothly. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in their medical records. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate medical imaging systems. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with dentists to create treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission to insurance providers or for patient records. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology relevant to patient care. Experience working in a dental clinic environment, with familiarity in medical coding . Knowledge of anatomy as it relates to oral health and hygiene practices. Ability to operate medical imaging systems , including digital X-ray equipment. Strong skills in documentation review to ensure accuracy in patient records. Experience with pediatrics is a plus, enhancingo the ability to work with younger patients effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and collaboration with the dental team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
