Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! We work Friday - Sunday in a growing practice. In this energetic role, you will support dentists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth, efficient clinic environment. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed. Take X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records in Open Dental and ensure accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care. Provide excellent customer service by scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety within the clinic. Support general administrative tasks such as treatment planning and assisting with billing processes. Collaborate seamlessly in a four-handed dentistry setup to enhance efficiency during procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting is required. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging tools including 3D scanners, and pediatric dentistry procedures is advantageous. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry environments; experience supporting prosthodontics or endodontic procedures is a plus. Ability to handle administrative duties related to medical records management and billing with accuracy and professionalism.
