Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Knowledge of EMR systems, infection control protocols, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued. The position is for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-7pm. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols Ensure infection control standards are maintained through proper aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry treatments Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver comprehensive patient care Maintain a clean and organized work environment following infection control guidelines Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, especially in pediatric or general dentistry environments Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, or other EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance Experience with pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and medical imaging is highly desirable Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient care best practices This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to excellence in patient care.
