Part Time Dental Assistant - Wurtzel Family Dentistry - Ann Arbor, MI

Job Overview Come join our team! Looking for a part time dental assistant at Wurtzel Family Dentistry in Ann Arbor. We looking for someone on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We would love an energetic, hard working team player at our multiple doctor practice. Dental experience especially with dental technology is preferred but will train the right person. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required and ensure proper handling of images. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Be willing to do iTero scans Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and clinic operations. Skills Proficient in using CareStream SoftDent record management. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry, including prosthodontics and general dentistry practices. Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is highly desirable. Strong ability to maintain medical documentation accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new techniques.
