Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will utilize a variety of dental technologies and maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Maintain infection control standards Ensure the clinic environment adheres to safety standards and infection control protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA compliance Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment and perform medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, vital signs collection, and aseptic technique Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Certification in radiography or X-ray certification is required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills will directly contribute to improving patients' oral health.
