Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with EMR systems such as Eagle soft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology and medical documentation. knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures will be highly valued. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while contributing to a positive patient experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use Assist the dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and operating medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eagle soft or Dentrix Manage patient flow by greeting patients as they arrive and preparing them for treatment Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing dental records, and assisting the front desk as needed. help office support with Insurance claims and processing Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required; familiarity with dental assisting duties is essential Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques is mandatory Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging (including 3D scanners), and vital signs measurement is preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical documentation, and medical coding practices is beneficial Certification in dental assisting or related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience This position offers an engaging environment for those passionate about delivering quality dental care while advancing their skills within a supportive team.
