Registered Dental Assistant - Emergency Dental of America - St. Louis, MO

Overview Join our growing team at Emergency Dental of America as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) ! In this role, you will work closely with our dentists and clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Your skills and positive attitude will play an important role in helping patients feel comfortable while ensuring our clinical operations run efficiently. What You’ll Do Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures such as root canals, extractions, impressions, and temporary crown fabrication while ensuring patient comfort and efficiency. Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed. Accurately maintain and update patient records in the dental EMR system . Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols , including weekly spore testing and quarterly waterline testing. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary clinical environment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and postoperative care instructions . Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient experience . Basic Qualifications Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or equivalent dental assisting credentials in Missouri Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery Radiation and CPR certification Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a dental or emergency dental clinic Experience with 3D scanning or digital imaging technology Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software systems Why You’ll Love It Here At Emergency Dental of America , we believe our people are our greatest asset.
