Dental Hygienist Lead â Make a Meaningful Impact on Community Oral Health Join a mission-driven team dedicated to expanding access to quality dental care in rural communities. As our Dental Hygienist Lead , you will support patients in improving and maintaining lifelong oral wellness through preventive care, education, and compassionate service. Youâll also guide and support fellow hygienists to ensure exceptional care in every encounter. A great opportunity for someone who: Thrives in a leadership role while still providing hands-on patient care Is energized by community outreach and health education Values teamwork and is motivated by helping others grow Wants to improve oral health outcomes in underserved communities Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality preventive and comprehensive dental care in alignment with clinical protocols Provide education and support that empowers patients to build healthy oral habits Collaborate closely with the dentist and dental team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Lead and support hygienist team members through supervision, coaching, and daily workflow oversight Manage timecards, provide performance feedback, and support professional growth (AIM/Performance Development process) Contribute to achieving broader clinic and dental program goals, including productivity expectations and strategic plan initiatives Support onboarding, continuing education, and competency development for new and current team members Maintain a safe, welcoming clinic environment and uphold infection control and compliance standards Participate in outreach initiatives, including the Preventive Services Program Assist with peer review, quality improvement activities, and enhancements to policies and protocols Travel to additional clinics and community events as needed Education, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Associateâs degree in dental hygiene required Bachelorâs degree in dental hygiene preferred WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Demonstrates professional commitment to providing services to underserved persons Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage upon hire (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) required LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Dental Hygienist in the state of Missouri required Believe everyone deserves access to quality oral healthcare Enjoy supporting and mentoring others Communicate with clarity, compassion, and respect Bring strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety Appreciate variety in your workday â clinic care, collaboration, and community engagement Are adaptable, self-motivated, and aligned with a mission of promoting wellness and hope Retention bonuses paid as per bonus policy; exclusions may apply.
