Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a relaxed private practice environment utilizing advanced dental technology and systems. Prior experience in general dentistry is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in dental assisting procedures, medical documentation, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic technique is maintained throughout all procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics. Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate medical documentation within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Manage patient records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations and assist with medical coding as needed. Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist when necessary. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and proper sterilization procedures. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient clinic operations and excellent patient experience. Requirements Valid Registered Dental Assistant certification/license with current registration. Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting; experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
