San Marcos Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is looking for an amazing Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant to join our family! Wednesday and Friday - 7:30 am - 5:00pm ***Compensation based on experience.*** San Marcos Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is dedicated to serving the unique needs of the children - from toddlers to teens. Responsibilities Wielding suction tools and passing instruments during treatment Changing out wires and brackets Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign Adjusting retainer fit Taking x-rays Providing at-home instructions for proper orthodontic care Preparing and taking patient molds Setting up, tracking, and monitoring patientsâ payment plans for braces treatment Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling). Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth) Skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication and computer skills Upbeat personality is a must Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic and attention to detail Clean, neat professional appearance Orthodontic experience is a must Active RDA license required No Weekends Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
