Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance to dentists, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols. The Dental Assistant will also play a vital role in maintaining infection control standards and managing medical documentation. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance during treatments, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and maintain organized medical records. Understanding of medical coding is advantageous but not required. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
