Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental treatments including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Conduct thorough patient assessments using dental terminology and medical records to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize dental imaging techniques and anatomical knowledge to diagnose oral health issues accurately. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in all procedures to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with patients to educate them on oral hygiene practices and treatment options, fostering a positive patient experience. Manage medical documentation diligently, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records. Use dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document procedures and schedule appointments efficiently. Provide pediatric dentistry services when necessary, demonstrating expertise in treating childrenâs dental needs. Perform dental fabrication tasks such as prosthodontics restorations when required. Maintain current knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and advancements in endodontics and oral surgery to enhance clinical practice. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental office or clinic environments. Proficiency with dental software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canal therapy), and prosthodontics. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic technique essential for safe practice. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canals, and other complex procedures confidently. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation standards, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management is required.
