Registered Dental Hygienist (WED, FRI) - Aesthetic Dental & Implant Center - New York, NY

We are currently seeking a superstar part-time Hygienist with minimum of 2+years experience. (Wednesdays and Fridays only). Position Responsibilities: As our Registered Dental Hygienist, you’ll be completing a thorough assessment of your patient’s health, including their teeth, bone and periodontal tissue. From there, you’ll need to communicate your overall assessment to both the dentist, and the patient you’re treating. You’ll also document and educate your patients on any abnormalities or suspected conditions as part of their overall treatment plan. We’ll also need you to: Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including but not limited to taking quality x-rays, performing a visual and tactile cancer exam, performing extra- and intra-oral pictures and exams, administering fluoride, sealants, scaling and root-planing, and dental prophylaxis. Give patients excellent oral hygiene techniques. Maintain the highest level of professional standard of excellence in accordance with our office’s needs. Job Requirements: Must have an active license as a NY Registered Dental Hygienist and CPR Certification. Proper prophylaxis for patients 3 yrs to Adult dentition. Show great care for patients by creating a comfortable environment for them. Nutritional Counseling and Excellent Oral Hygiene Instructions. Fluoride Treatment. Scaling and Root Planning with proper Treatment planning. Ability to perform laser assisted scaling and root planning a plus. Proper charting and documentation or Intra/Extra Oral evaluation. Hand scaling & Rubber Cup Polishing. Competence in Sealants application Competence in exposing radiographs on patients 3yrs+; Panoramic x-rays and CBCT. Communication between the dental assistant and Doctor; communicate with the legal guardian and patient. Being proactive around clinical schedule and patient’s treatment plan. Able to maintain and uphold HIPPA, OSHA-including infection control Anesthesia Certificate iTero Lumina Scanning for Invisalign work up and ability to take impressions for night guard Arestin therapy In-office whitening Job Type: Part-time Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour Work Location: In person
