Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options Take and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix Ascend Review documentation for accuracy, update medical and dental histories, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proven experience in general dentistry Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend for scheduling, documentation review, and record keeping Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team Join us in delivering exceptional dental care that transforms smiles!
