Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent periodontal disease Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current health status Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs, medical imaging, and applying topical anesthetics Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments Document treatment procedures accurately within EMR systems and review medical records for completeness Support general dentistry procedures by assisting dentists during examinations and treatments Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and respond to patient inquiries professionally Ensure compliance with all dental office policies, including documentation review and medical coding practices Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols Experience with pediatric dentistry, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Ability to measure vital signs accurately and interpret results for patient assessment Familiarity with medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and documentation review processes Competence in using medical imaging equipment and understanding medical coding standards Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations including pediatrics Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation purposes Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers a rewarding opportunity for licensed Dental Hygienists committed to delivering exceptional patient care within a professional setting.
