Assisted Hygiene Dental Hygienist – Smile Loft Dental Location: Laurel, MD Smile Loft Dental is seeking an Assisted Hygiene Dental Hygienist to join our compassionate, high-energy team. This position is designed for a hygienist who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and enjoys the efficiency and support of working with a dedicated hygiene assistant. You’ll have more time to focus on patient education, preventive care, and delivering exceptional experiences—while your assistant helps keep the schedule flowing smoothly. What You’ll Do: Provide high-quality prophylaxis, scaling, and preventive care in a two-chair hygiene model Partner with your hygiene assistant to maximize patient care efficiency Conduct screenings, take X-rays, and identify conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques Document patient care and chart accurately in our practice management system Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and recommendations Follow OSHA, infection control, and sterilization protocols Maintain a positive, team-oriented approach in all patient interactions What We’re Looking For: Valid Maryland Dental Hygienist License Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality of care Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient education and satisfaction Why Join Smile Loft Dental?
