Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, and prosthodontic work with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly using aseptic techniques Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA standards Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing post-treatment instructions in clear dental terminology Support infection control protocols by maintaining a sterile environment and following OSHA guidelines for aseptic technique and infection prevention Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic flow through four-handed dentistry practices and effective communication with the dental receptionist for scheduling and patient coordination Monitor patient comfort levels throughout treatments, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to address concerns promptly Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients preferred Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation Hands-on experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental environment Ability to interpret dental terminology accurately for effective communication with patients and team members Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures is a plus Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent required; additional certifications in radiography or pediatric dentistry are advantageous Join our team where your skills will be valued, your growth encouraged, and your passion for delivering outstanding patient care supported.
