Job description: Doc Bresler's Cavity Busters is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our South Philadelphia location. This is a full-time position that requires one Saturday per month. Dental Assistants MUST BE X-RAY CERTIFIED . Dental Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greet parents and review treatment plan for visit. Responsible for walking patients back to treatment areas and verify demographics. Review and record dental health histories of patients in digital chart. Take digital x-rays and panoramic images. Set up instrument trays and prepare patient for treatment. Set up dental chair with all necessary dental materials for doctor, hygienist, and EFDA. Enter treatment information and procedures into patient’s electronic chart. Chairside assist doctors and EFDAs by preparing materials and handling suctioning. Make preliminary impressions for our lab. Clean room and disinfect dental chairs after patient use. Sterilize dental instruments and disinfect equipment. Review visit with parent after treatment, provide postoperative instructions, and lead parent to the front desk for follow-up appointments. Unbox materials and verify orders. Dental Assistant Requirements: X-ray certification (mandatory) Ability to multitask and work in a team environment Requested, but not required: Experience with Dentrix Enterprise dental software and dental terminology.
