As a Dental Assistant at Gardens Dentistry, you’ll play an essential role in creating an exceptional experience for our patients. From preparing rooms and assisting doctors to ensuring comfort and delivering outstanding chairside care, you’ll help us maintain the elevated standard we’re known for. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during procedures such as chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and handling dental materials. Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic health records using EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend for accurate medical documentation and records management. Take and develop dental radiographs ensuring proper positioning and safety procedures are followed. Provide patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics to support clinical operations effectively. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a minimum of 2-3 years clinical performance. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix . Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Certification in X-ray technology and familiarity with medical imaging equipment. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including chairside assisting and vital signs measurement. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting.
