Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Gainesville, GA

We are seeking a detailâoriented Dental Assistant with proven experience supporting implant procedures , photogrammetry capture , and digital implant workflows. You will assist chairside during surgical and restorative appointments, operate intraoral scanners and photogrammetry systems, coordinate with the lab on guided surgery and immediateâload cases, and uphold the highest standards of patient care, safety, and sterilization. Experience with AllâonâX protocols and Facially Driven Workflow is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Surgical Assistance Support immediateâload conversions (provisional PMMA or hybrid) including intraoperative handoffs to the lab. Digital & Photogrammetry Workflow Perform photogrammetry scans for multiâimplant cases; validate capture quality and landmark coverage. Operate intraoral scanners (e.g., 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, iTero) for preop, postâop, and restorative scans. Export/organize scan data, STL/PLY files, and metadata; ensure alignment with lab SOPs. Coordinate with the lab on diagnostic waxâups, stackable guide systems, and esthetic tryâins per Facially Driven Workflow . Imaging & Documentation Take and mount periapical, and bitewing. Maintain thorough clinical notes, implant lot numbers, torque values, and postâop instructions in the patient record. Patient Care & Safety Educate patients on pre/postâop instructions; provide compassionate chairside support. Perform sterilization, disinfection, and instrument processing per infectionâcontrol standards. Inventory & Logistics Track implant components, scan bodies, sleeves, impression posts, and surgical consumables. Manage case transfers to/from the lab; ensure on time delivery of data, prints, and guides. Qualifications Required 5+ years assisting implant surgery and digital implant workflows. Handsâon experience with photogrammetry capture for fullâarch or multiâunit implants. Proficiency with intraoral scanning and basic digital data management (STL/PLY/DICOM). Preferred Experience with AllâonâX guided protocols, stackable guide systems, and immediateâload conversions (aligned with internal guided workflows. Familiarity with lab collaboration and SOPs for implant design and guide processing. Basic understanding of exocad/3Shape design review to communicate effectively with the lab. Core Competencies Comfort with technology: scanners, photogrammetry rigs, and file management. Teamwork, professionalism, and calm performance in surgical settings. Tools & Systems Youâll Use Photogrammetry Intraoral Scanning: 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, iTero or others Guided Surgery: Stackable guide systems; verification sleeves/keys. SOPs & Case Handoffs: As defined by our Implant Department SOP Work Environment & Physical Demands Extended periods of standing; lifting up to 10â15 kg for equipment trays and boxes.
