Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Hands-on experience with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is a plus Strong understanding of infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical records management Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients about treatment plans and oral health education Join us in creating healthier smiles!
