Duties & Responsibilities Patient Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment before each patient visit. Procedure Assistance: Support the dentist by anticipating needs, passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a smooth workflow. Sterilization & Infection Control: Follow strict sterilization and disinfection protocols and maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards. Patient Support: Provide compassionate care; communicate treatment plans, answer questions, offer oral hygiene education, and ensure patient comfort. Administrative Support: Assist with managing patient records, scheduling, and maintaining an organized, efficient workspace. Job Requirements & Skills Education: Completion of a Dental Assisting program or equivalent training is beneficial but not required. Certification: Current X-Ray Licensed in the state of New Jersey Experience: While previous dental assisting experience is a plus, we are open to training motivated individuals who are new to the field. Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of dental software and instruments is beneficial. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of treatment areas and patient records. Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a supportive and positive workplace.
