Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in San Antonio, TX
Position Summary The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during clinical procedures, ensure efficient patient flow, maintain strict sterilization protocols, and assist with both clinical and administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is motivated, professional, and capable of working in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and organize treatment rooms and instrumentation for dental procedures Assist the dentist chairside with restorative, surgical, and preventative procedures Capture and process digital dental radiographs and intraoral photographs Maintain sterilization procedures in compliance with OSHA and CDC standards Perform operatory turnover and ensure all equipment is properly disinfected Chart treatment notes accurately in the practice management software Provide clear communication and comfort-focused care to patients Assist with impressions, lab cases, scanning, or model pouring when required Monitor and restock clinical supplies; notify management of shortages Support front office team members with patient communication or transitions when necessary Required Qualifications Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License Current CPR certification Proficiency in dental terminology and chairside assisting techniques Ability to take high-quality digital X-rays Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to work collaboratively within a team Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Experience with Open Dental, Dentrix, or similar software Experience assisting with crowns, extractions, implants, or surgical procedures Bilingual (English/Spanish) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
