Responsibilities Responsibilities are aligned with the practice’s internal Dental Assistant Training & Procedure Manual standards. Hygiene Support Assist hygienists with room setup and breakdown. Perform perio charting as needed. Assist with patient seating, medical history updates, and blood pressure. Capture accurate intraoral and extraoral radiographs. Polish teeth when permitted and per office protocol. Patient Flow and Communication Help keep the hygiene schedule on time. Escort patients in and out of operatories. Support patient comfort and answer basic questions confidently. Document notes in Dentrix accurately. Sterilization and Infection Control Maintain sterilization and instrument rotation. Follow OSHA guidelines for PPE, disinfection, and room preparation. Keep hygiene operatories stocked and organized. Backfill Clinical Support Assist dental assistants when the schedule is busy or if someone is out. Help with setup for basic restorative procedures when needed. Support lab case tracking, operatory organization, and post-op care routines Team and Office Support Communicate clearly with the doctor, hygienists, and admin team. Requirements -You’ll be a strong fit if you are: Experienced dental or hygiene assistant preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Comfortable with X-rays, charting, and supporting hygienists. Organized, dependable, and efficient with room setup and sterilization. Friendly communicator who enjoys patient interaction. Calm, positive, and able to multitask on busy clinic days. Team oriented and willing to jump in wherever needed.
