We are seeking a reliable Dental Assistant with a minimum of FIVE YEARS of professional experience in dental care support. What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of infection control. Take and develop X-rays, utilizing your knowledge of medical imaging and dental terminology to provide accurate results. Assist dentist with major and minor procedure including cor-packing and temporary crown. Manage patient records using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive experience for both children and adults. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology, including 3D scanners, to enhance patient treatment options. Basic qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting in general dentistry practices. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols. Proficiency in using EMR systems for dental records management; experience with Epic is a plus. Preferred qualifications Experience in general dentistry or working with all ages in a clinical setting. Familiarity with prosthodontics and endodontics procedures is advantageous.
