Responsibilities Chairside Assistance: Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and Invisalign therapy with chairside support. Digital Impressions: Perform high-quality intraoral scanning (e.g., iTero, Trios, or similar) for diagnostic models, crowns, and clear aligner fabrication. Aligner Management: Assist with Invisalign appointments, including attaching attachments, fitting trays, and educating patients on aligner usage and care. Preparation & Sterilization: Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging dental supplies, and setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines and scanners. Imaging: Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Patient Records: Collect vital signs, medical history information, and update medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like OpenDental. Patient Education: Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding for insurance claims in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and support administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing patient flow. Qualifications Experience: Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures. Specialized Skills: Experience withInvisalign workflows and proficiency in using intraoral scanners is highly preferred. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or OpenDental; experience with medical documentation and records management is highly desirable. Knowledge Base: Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology. Imaging Skills: Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Pediatric Care: Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry practices and experience caring for pediatric patients is preferred. Certifications: Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical coding, or related fields is advantageous. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. Language: Mandarin speaking candidates are preferred. Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 â 32.0 per week Work Location: In person
