Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 6pm and Fridays 12:00pm - 5:00pm. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will work closely with our orthodontist to provide exceptional patient care and support. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with orthodontic procedures, maintaining patient records, taking x-rays, scan and photos. Duties: - Fitting bands, adjusting and changing arch wire, assist orthodontist with placing braces, x-rays, scan and photos. - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes Experience: - Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is required (3 years required) - Knowledge of Edge is preferred - Being a certified dental or orthodontic assistant is an added bonus - Vacation time, 401K(self funded) and sick time. - Knowledge of medical documentation practices, including HIPAA compliance - Familiarity with infection control protocols in a dental setting - Understanding of orthodontic terminology and procedures We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
