We are excited to be adding new energy and talents to build on our incredible team at Gulf Coast Orthodontics! Our busy and growing orthodontic practice is in search of a team player to serve as an orthodontic assistant. We are looking for a motivated, energetic and organized team player that is dedicated to ensuring patient satisfaction and working hard to grow with our practice. We are a fast paced, friendly, and fun orthodontic practice. Our office uses the most current technology in orthodontics, including digital radiology and digital scanners. Qualifications: Florida X-Ray certification Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience (Preferred) Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Friendly, patient and kind towards patients and fellow team members, and thrives in a high-energy environment. Highly organized with great attention to detail Ability to multi-task efficiently in a busy clinical setting Independent, reliable and responsible Ethical and professional Attitude is KEY!! Ability to travel to multiple locations - Fort Myers, Estero and Naples Responsibilities: Making an outstanding first impression with patients and families Establish rapport with new patients and their families throughout their treatment Assisting the orthodontists with a variety of clinical procedures (fitting bands, Taking impressions and/or digital scans, preparing teeth for proper bonding procedures, changing arch wires, reviewing oral hygiene instructions, proper sterilization etc). Taking diagnostic records including photos, x-rays, and intra-oral scans Establishing rapport with patients and their families throughout their treatment Ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction before, during and after each appointment Providing patients with proper instructions after appliances are cemented Providing patients with proper instructions for oral hygiene habits to maintain ideal oral health during orthodontic treatment Documenting dental concerns and conditions, and accurate treatment notes Competence in orthodontic terminology The right person will ideally have experience in the orthodontic field and have experience with Cloud 9. Details: Full-time employment is 4 days per week Competitive pay with benefits Pay is hourly and based on experience and abilities.
