About the Position As a Dental Assistant , youâll play a key role in supporting our dentists and ensuring smooth, efficient patient care. Weâre looking for someone who is experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable with chairside assisting , four-handed dentistry , and maintaining a clean, sterile operatory. Experience with Open Dental software , intraoral scanners , 3D scanning , temporary fabrication , and packing cord is highly preferred. Responsibilities Provide chairside support to dentists during examinations and dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare, disinfect, and maintain treatment rooms in compliance with infection control and OSHA standards. Take, process, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety guidelines and dental imaging protocols. Assist with general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Take vital signs, review medical histories, and help patients feel comfortable before treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care. Use Open Dental software to update patient records and maintain accurate documentation. Operate intraoral scanners and assist with digital dentistry workflows; experience with 3D imaging is a plus. Fabricate high-quality temporary crowns and assist with cord packing for impressions. Manage dental supply inventory, restock operatories, and assist with ordering. Ensure all patient interactions and documentation comply with HIPAA regulations. Communicate clearly with patients; bilingual communication skills are a plus. Qualifications Experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental office (preferred). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and sterilization procedures. Experience with Open Dental , digital charting, and intraoral scanning (preferred). Competence with temporary fabrication , packing cord , and assisting across multiple dental specialties. Bilingual skills are a plus and highly valued in our multicultural patient community. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
