Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chairside assisting, dental terminology, and infection control protocols. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in X-ray procedures, and maintaining accurate dental records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. This position is essential in supporting the clinical operations and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and record vital signs and medical history of patients before procedures Operate dental imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines while maintaining safety standard. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health maintenance Maintain accurate documentation of dental records Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification Proven experience in dental assisting Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and intraoral scanners Ability to perform vital signs assessment and understand dental documentation standards Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectivelly This role provides an opportunity to be part of a professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care while advancing your skills in a supportive environment.
