We are searching for a dental assistant that is experienced in restorative/cosmetic dentistry. We are a private practice with one general dentist and 2 periodontist so we do most of all of our work here, under one roof. We do not take insurance, we are fee or service, this allows us to provide a higher level of patient care here. We take time with our patients, we have fun and we deliver the best cosmetic dental treatment you can find in Brevard county. Experience in Dentrix is a plus as well as experience in whitening systems, fabricating temps, cementations, adjustments and helping patients get excited about their dental care. Responsibilities: -Assist the dentist during dental procedures. Experience in general dentistry, high standard cosmetic dentistry including fabrication of temps. We are a private practice and have a high level of patient care. Patients, compassion and care is #1 - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Take dental x-rays (Dexis) and CT- scans (Icat) - Update and maintain patient dental records using Dentrix - Provide post-operative instructions to patients - Schedule patient appointments - Knowledge of dental supplies, materials and techniques - Educate patients on treatment options Skills: - Proficiency in Dentrix - Experience in high standard of care dental assisting techniques and procedures - Understanding of digital technology for digital impressions and restorations as well as experience in fabricating temp crowns , cementations, adjustments and relines of prosthetics and other restorative skills - Experience working in patient care and helping patients accept treatment and lead them to a final result that they are happy with.
