Dental Assistant – Join Our Dental Team at Southcoast Family Dental & Braces – Marion, MA Pay: $25–$34/hr (based on experience) Job Overview Join our dynamic, patient-focused dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare. In this energetic and supportive environment, you’ll assist with chairside procedures, prepare clinical areas, and help ensure every patient feels comfortable and cared for—across both general and pediatric dentistry. You’ll work closely with Dr. Sabina Malla (14+ years of experience) and a great, supportive team in a beautiful coastal community. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials; maintain strict sterilization standards Assist dentists during procedures including fillings, crowns, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and process dental X-rays safely using proper radiation protocols Document patient information, treatment notes, and medical history using EMR systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic) Provide four-handed chairside assistance, managing instruments, suction, and aseptic techniques Help monitor vital signs when appropriate and support comprehensive patient care Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-op instructions, and answer questions with empathy Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines at all times Collaborate with the team to keep the clinic running smoothly; assist with receptionist duties when needed Stay updated on new technologies and techniques, including 3D scanning and clinical best practices Qualifications Previous Dental Assistant experience preferred (general or specialty) Strong knowledge of infection control, aseptic technique, and dental terminology Proficiency taking X-rays and using imaging equipment Experience with EMR systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic) highly valued Excellent communication skills; ability to work confidently with adults and children Team player with strong multitasking and organizational abilities Pediatric experience is a plus CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Why Work With Us?
