Job Summary: The Dental Assistant will support the dental team in providing high-quality care to patients. This role involves assisting with procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Assist dentists during examinations and treatments. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. - Provide post-operative care instructions to patients. - Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up to date. - Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment. - Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care. - Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies. - Comply with all safety and infection control protocols. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred (EFDA). - Previous experience as a dental assistant is a plus. - Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. - Proficient in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. - CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods. - Manual dexterity for handling instruments and equipment. - Capability to lift and move dental equipment as needed.
