Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Midland, MI
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene. This position requires a professional who is passionate about oral health and has experience in a dental clinic environment. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00am to 4:00pm. We open on select Fridays throughout the year. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental software system. Assist dentists during procedures by providing necessary support and tools. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment notes, using Dentrix or similar dental software. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Skills Proficiency in pediatric dentistry techniques and practices is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. Experience with medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent communication skills.
