Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, cavity detection, and applying topical agents. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver high-quality general dentistry services. Review medical coding and documentation for billing accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide post-treatment instructions. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for optimal patient care. Skilled in taking vital signs, medical imaging, and understanding medical records management. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient education and assessment. Knowledge of EMR systems (Electronic Medical Records) and general dentistry procedures. Ability to work effectively within a team in a clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
