Overview Total Health Dentistry Hawaii is a patient-focused dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic and comprehensive care. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team on a part-time basis (1-2 days per week). This role is perfect for a highly skilled hygienist looking for consistent, flexible work in a supportive and modern environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, charting, and periodontal charting. Capture and process high-quality diagnostic radiographs (X-rays). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventative care, and the connection between oral health and overall systemic health. Administer local anesthesia. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the practice management software. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the operatory in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Preferred: Assist with or perform procedures using an infrared dental laser (training can be provided, but prior experience is a plus). Collaborate effectively with the Dentist and the rest of the clinical team to ensure excellent patient flow and care. Qualifications Required: Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Hawaii. Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist is preferred. Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with digital charting and Dentrix dental software. Current CPR certification. Preferred: Experience or strong willingness to train and become proficient in using infrared dental laser technology for hygiene procedures. Certification to administer local anesthesia. Schedule & Compensation Schedule: 1-2 days per week, starting in Mid-January 2026 . Specific day/days are Flexible/To be determined. Compensation: $50/hour starting Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 â 16.0 per week Work Location: In person
