**Entry-Level Dental Sterilization Assistant (Pathway to Chairside Dental Assistant)** Location: Yorktown Heights Practice: Northern Westchester Dental Care Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time Start Your Dental Career in the Right Office We are hiring an entry-level Dental Sterilization Assistant for candidates who are serious about becoming excellent chairside dental assistants. This role is designed as a launch point into a long-term clinical position within our practice. In our office, this position is how we train, evaluate, and grow future chairside assistants. When someone is successful in this role, they are consistently promoted into a chairside assisting position as skills and readiness develop. What Youâll Learn & Do Perform instrument cleaning, packaging, and sterilization in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and infection-control standards Maintain sterilization logs, spore testing, and compliance documentation Turn over operatories efficiently and prepare rooms for patient care Support the clinical team to keep daily flow running smoothly Assist with stocking, organization, and clinical setup Build strong foundational skills that prepare you for chairside assisting Required Qualifications Some dental experience is required Certificate of completion from the NYS 6-week Basic Dental Assisting course (or equivalent) required Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn Professional communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Growth & Advancement Clear pathway to a chairside dental assistant position Hands-on mentorship and cross-training with experienced assistants and doctors Skill development in clinical procedures, patient flow, and operatory setup We promote from within â success in this role leads to advancement Schedule MondayâFriday, weekend hours available but not mandatory Full-time or part-time opportunities available Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid time off and paid holidays (for eligible employees) Uniform allowance Supportive, team-focused work environment Why Join Our Office?
