Job Overview We are a 100% fee-for-service, privately owned practice striving to provide our patients excellent tailored care. Here you can expect ample chair time to meet the patientâs oral health needs and a strong supportive team to work alongside. Our main procedures focus on restorative dentistry. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, limited extractions and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, adhering strictly to infection control and aseptic techniques. Record dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality while following HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records), specificall SoftDent to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records to ensure seamless clinic operations. Experience Required Working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Certification or experience in X-ray technology. Ability to perform dental assisting duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of aseptic technique and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
