Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth clinical operation. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. Experience with EMR systems and dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with our team to promote oral health and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, all while delivering compassionate care to patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper aseptic technique Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques Document treatment plans, patient records, and medical histories accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure infection control standards are maintained according to OSHA guidelines Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records Support pediatric dentistry procedures by providing specialized patient care for children Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols Experience Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Prior experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes Experience with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging procedures Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations including pediatrics Previous experience in dental assisting or chairside assisting is advantageous but not mandatory Join our team to provide high-quality dental care in a professional environment committed to excellence in patient service.
