Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part Time/Fill in/PRN/Maternity Leave Dentist to join our dental practice on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility to provide high-quality dental care across a variety of patient needs, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards Provide a wide range of dental services including general dentistry, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery Utilize dental imaging techniques and ensure proper infection control and aseptic techniques during procedures Conduct patient care with compassion, ensuring patient comfort and understanding of treatment options Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Apply knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to diagnose and plan appropriate treatments Use dental fabrication tools when necessary for prosthetic or restorative procedures Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and proper sterilization procedures Collaborate effectively with team members using skills in four-handed dentistry for efficiency and patient safety Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry procedures Strong knowledge of medical imaging, dental terminology, medical records management, and infection control practices Experience with pediatric patients is advantageous; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential Prior experience in dental fabrication or working within a multidisciplinary team is a plus Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations This role provides an excellent opportunity for experienced dentists seeking flexible work arrangements while contributing their expertise to patient health and well-being.
