Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Coppell, TX

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice, Arlington and Coppel. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. Prior experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly valued, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. A background in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry is preferred. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care while adhering to all safety and procedural standards. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Record patient information accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Measure vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient assessments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain strict infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Manage medical documentation including medical records, coding, and insurance forms efficiently. Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and other imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure a clean, organized clinical environment that complies with all health standards. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar EMR platforms. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of infection control practices specific to dental clinics. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to handle medical imaging equipment and perform vital signs measurement accurately. Understanding of medical coding processes related to dental procedures for insurance claims processing.
