Job Overview $8000 SIGNING BONUS. WILL WORK IN OUR CHARLOTTESVILLE VA OFFICE. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall patient education and oral health maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems and familiarity with pediatric dentistry are highly valued to ensure comprehensive care for all patient demographics. Duties Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care and treatment planning Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting, preferably with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding standards Experience with pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry, and chairside assisting is advantageous Familiarity with infection control procedures, medical imaging techniques, and medical records management Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, and documentation review processes Proven ability to deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $70.00 - $72.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Parental leave Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
