Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and proficiency with dental software systems. This role involves providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting the overall function of the dental team. Experience with pediatric dentistry, infection control, and medical record documentation is highly valued. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations. Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry and medical imaging. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Document treatment notes accurately within Dentrix Ascend. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Review medical records and documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Take and interpret dental radiographs while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop treatment plans tailored to pediatric and general dentistry patients. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance. Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is preferred. Experience in pediatric dentistry, infection control, and medical imaging is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and EMR systems enhances patient documentation quality. Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, chairside assisting, and aseptic procedures. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups, especially pediatrics.
