Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Monroe, MI
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available. Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Manage patient medical records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments and sterilize instruments after use. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various dental procedures effectively. Utilize dental software such as Open Dental for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred Proficiency in dental terminology Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting. Ability to perform X-rays and other medical imaging tasks competently. Knowledge of denture steps, use of scanner and fabrication of temporary crowns Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
