Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our private dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Prior experience with Dentrix is required, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy. The position requires adherence to HIPAA/WISHA regulations and infection control standards, contributing to a safe and efficient clinical setting. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques Take and develop X-rays and other dental imaging as required, ensuring proper safety protocols Record vital signs and medical history, updating patient records accurately. Manage documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort Operate 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology when needed Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization of instruments and equipment Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records when necessary Skills Proficiency in Dentrix or similar platforms Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanning technology Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols in a dental setting Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques Competence in vital signs measurement and basic medical documentation procedures Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, ability to problem solve and professionalism Excellent leadership skills This position offers an engaging opportunity for qualified Dental Assistants committed to delivering outstanding patient care while advancing their professional skills within a supportive team environment.
