Dental Assistant: RDA or CDA Full Time - Kenneth A. Taylor, DDS, PS - Bellingham, WA

Compensation: $23+/ hour, DOE and job performance Employment type: 36-40 hours per week Job title: Dental Assistant Start Date: ASAP This cozy patient-centered private dental practice is offering a part-time to grow to full-time, immediate Dental Assistant position. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and this position would ideally work 10 hours per day, 4 days per week, with a half to full hour lunch (determined by candidate preference). Initially, candidate schedule would be Monday-Thursday from 12:30 or so to close (usually 5:30 pm, barring emergency patients). This candidate should be or have: A 'team player' Personable, empathetic, and engaging Energetic and positive Direct and transparent communication skills Skilled at and enjoys reassuring patients with dental anxiety throughout their procedures. RDA or CDA 12 months of clinical experience preferred Current Certification of training in Blood Borne Pathogens & Infection Control, OSHA, WISHA and HIPAA Regulations is required The candidate should possess knowledge of: Digital data entry Instrument processing and sterilization Infection control procedures Instrument organization, identification & transfer Chairside assistance in routine general dental procedures, including: Oral Hygiene Instruction & dental polishing Conventional impression technique Digital Radiography Restorative Dentistry-- direct (composite resin, amalgam) and indirect (crowns, bridges, implant restorations), Oral Surgery, Periodontal Therapy, and Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) Current certification in CPR and documented proof of Hepatitis B Vaccination (or documented declination of Hepatitis B vaccine). Full-time employees accrue paid sick leave at hire, paid time off after 3 months, and are entitled to 50% reimbursement of personal insurance up to $125 per pay period after 3 months. Full-time employees receive dental services at no-cost after 3 months but are responsible for any lab fees. Spouses and children receive 50% off services. We have a Golden Retriever named Riley providing support to patients and team members, so the candidate should be comfortable with dogs.
