Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable private dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. Experience with Dentrix is highly preferred. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Assist with chairside procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Review medical records for accurate documentation and coding purposes Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure efficient workflow Monitor patient progress and follow up on treatment recommendations Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with Washington State regulations, including BLS certification. Prior experience working in general dentistry Proficiency Dentrix preferred Knowledge of dental terminology and coding standards Familiarity with infection control standards, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques Strong understanding of patient care principles, documentation review, and HIPAA compliance Previous experience working in dental clinics or dental offices is highly desirable This position offers an engaging environment where your skills will directly contribute to improving patients’ oral health while advancing your professional development within a supportive team.
