Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Big Rapids, MI
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth. Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Utilize dental software such as Carestream for patient management and documentation review. Skills Strong understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on their oral health needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient service. Prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable but not required. We would be happy to work with a recent hygiene graduate as well!
