Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dental professionals in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with chairside procedures, medical documentation, and patient education. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and maintaining proper dental terminology Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices Manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and updating medical records Maintain a clean and organized work environment following infection control standards Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding medical documentation and records management Support the team with administrative tasks related to medical coding and documentation for insurance purposes Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures is beneficial Experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols is essential Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and medical terminology required Ability to perform chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry environments Experience with dental assisting certifications or relevant training programs is desirable Join our team to provide compassionate patient care while advancing your skills in a professional dental environment.
